OUR PROCESS

How It Works

Community Engagement

Event occurs and National Compassion Fund is engaged by the community

Donations Collection

Donations are collected by the National Compassion Fund in partnership with GoFundMe, or collected by a local organization. A local Steering Committee is formed to determine eligibility and distribution of funds.

Protocol Development

Distribution Protocols are drafted by the Steering Committee and opened for public comment.

Protocol Approval

Distribution Protocols are finalized, donation portals are closed, and the funds are certified.

Victim Applications

Applications for victims and survivors are opened.

Application Verification

Applications close and eligible submissions are reviewed, verified, and approved.

Funds Distribution

100% of collected donations are distributed to approved applicants and beneficiaries.
